Emergency Response and Inspection

Enforcement Hero sm

The Watershed Protection Program’s environmental compliance staff conduct regular site inspections of Los Angeles businesses, field calls from residents reporting illicit discharges, abandoned hazardous waste and illegal connections to the storm drain system and respond to environmental emergencies. They play an important role in protecting the natural resources of Los Angeles and keeping contaminated urban runoff from flowing into our creeks, lakes and ocean.
