Hyperion Advanced Water Purification Facility

This project will produce 1.5 MGD of recycled water for non-potable uses at HWRP and at the Los Angeles International Airport for cooling water and toilet flushing. The treatment process will use membrane bioreactors, reverse osmosis, and ultraviolet advanced oxidation. The project is considered a proof of concept for the full transformation of the HWRP (Hyperion 2035) to a 100% water recycling facility by 2035.
