Venice Dual Force Main Sewer Project (VDFM)

The City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works is constructing a 54-inch diameter force main sewer to supplement the 48-inch diameter force main sewer built in 1960.

Did you know?


  • The current force main carries over 30 million gallons of wastewater each day at our Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant.
  • VDFM is a Top 10 project for LA Sanitation & Environment to protect the public health and the environment.
  • As part of the Clean Water Program this critical pipeline serves the City of Los Angeles and 29 other agencies.
