Campus Recruiting for Engineers

The Project Green Leadership (PGL) On-Campus Recruitment program seeks to identify and hire the best and brightest Civil, Environmental, and Chemical Engineers for careers at LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN).  PGL leads an aggressive engineering recruitment program seeking entry-level Environmental Engineering Associates (EEAs) and Student Engineers for full-time and part-time positions.

Those lucky students and new grads that we hire will have the opportunity to utilize cutting-edge technologies and play their part in providing innovative services that will help make the City of Los Angeles the cleanest, greenest, most sustainable big City in the nation.

The intent of the Project Green Leadership team is to provide successful outcomes in hiring diverse, talented qualified engineers to come work at LA Sanitation & Environment, where innovation, environmental stewardship, and sustainability converge. RETURNING: ENGINEER DAY LA

Campus Recuriting 10/13 Eday_Flyer

Thank you to all who joined Engineer Day 2022! You can view the presentation here.

Engineer Day is an opportunity for engineering students to learn more about LASAN, gain an understanding of our hiring process and core programs, and hear from some of our recent hires. The interactive sessions are followed by a tour, either in person or virtual.  Admission is free and open to students studying chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering at colleges and universities across the US.

This year, we will accept resumes/applications from participants and schedule interviews for November 2023.

CAREER FAIRS
Career fairs are often where potential candidates are introduced to LASAN for the first time. This is a great opportunity for students to ask questions and receive insight into specific projects led by LA Sanitation & Environment. Career fairs serve as a helpful tool for us to interact with students and to find qualified candidates for future needs. We do accept resumes at career fairs. The next will be on Thursday, November 2. Stay tuned for more details!

INFORMATION SESSIONS
Information sessions allow LASAN to inform and share information about career opportunities (entry level positions, internships, etc.) with potential Environmental Engineering Associate and Student Engineer candidates in an informal setting. Through a presentation and Q&A, students are able to familiarize themselves with LASAN's diverse projects. Students also have the opportunity to submit a resume if they wish.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS

These events provide students with convenient opportunities to interview for entry level positions or internships at LASAN without having to leave campus. Please note that interviews will be conducted remotely until further notice.

SPEAKERS
Does your class or club want a speaker to talk about a specific engineering topic or project? Reach out to san.marketing@lacity.org if we can assist you in providing an experienced speaker for your class or event.
