These wastes can be dropped off at permanent collection sites known as S.A.F.E. Centers or mobile collection events located throughout the City of Los Angeles. Check out the S.A.F.E. Center flyer for more information and LASAN's Events page for the next mobile event in your area.

MOBILE COLLECTION EVENTS FOR LOS ANGELES CITY AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY RESIDENTS

All Mobile Collection Events are still postponed. Please do not place household hazardous materials in the trash. Electronic waste (e-waste) may be scheduled for curbside collection by calling 1-800-773-2489 or by selecting Electronic Waste in the MyLA311 app.

LASAN hosts one-day collection events at various locations where S.A.F.E. Centers are not easily accessible. Depending on the location, residents can drop off different materials such as used oil, e-waste, paint or HHW. The City also sponsors Used Oil Filter Exchange events where residents can bring in old used oil filters and receive new filters for FREE (up to 2 per household). For a list of upcoming mobile events, go to LA Sanitation's Events page.

For updated County of Los Angeles HHW and E-Waste Collection event information, visit:
Voice: 888-CLEAN-LA / 888-253-2652
TDD: 626-282-7829 (Hearing / Speech Impaired)
County Website: www.cleanla.com

As a measure of caution in relation to the containment of the COVID-19 Virus, our used oil/e-waste/tire/paint collection events continue to be suspended.

We look forward to resuming these vital services when concerns have passed. In the meantime, you can take these items to a SAFE Center.
