This program focuses on equitably distributing microgrants to small and medium business using single-use plastics or non-compostable foodware with dine-in operations, and will later pilot mobile food vendors and take-out operations.

COVID-19 Business Resource and Relief Programs

In the midst of a global crisis caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we are experiencing a catastrophic pandemic, which is imparing our public health and threatening our local economy. We understand that many businesses have to close their doors to prevent further spread of the virus, and its impact on unemployment and economic disruption. LA Sanitation and Environment and the LA Industry Program will continue to work collaboratively with businesses to bridge this public health and economic emergency. Our team compiled a comprehensive list of resources containing federal, state, and local loan and relief program information for businesses that are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We make every reasonable effort to ensure the currency and accuracy of the information, please check back frequently for updates. To read the COVID-19 Business Resource Guide, click here.

Business Resource and Incentive Guide

LA Industry LA SAN LogoLA Industry’s goal is to work collaboratively with Los Angeles businesses and resource partners to achieve a cycle of sustainability practices that will benefit our environment, economy, and community. We put together an incentives and resource guide to provide information and resources such as financial and tax incentives, low cost loan and grant programs, regulatory guidance, professional and workforce development, business strategies, and much more. Business Benefits

LA Industry BenefitsThe LA Industry program creates a forum for stakeholders to actively communicate and provide feedback, which helps identify challenges that impede economic growth and compliance with their Industrial Discharge permit. LASAN utilizes its Green Chemistry Guide to provide a framework for implementing the 12 principles to support the people, planet and profit (3Ps) in sustaining community vitality. The objective is to promote life cycle thinking in infrastructure planning processes; reduce the generation of hazardous substances in building capital improvements, chemical design, manufacturing processes, product use, and ultimately disposal. With this cradle-to-grave solution, businesses are protecting air and water quality and the economic infrastructure that supports it.

LA Industry provides the business community with a sustainable business model that promotes a circular economy. A circular economy is about moving from a system of waste to endless resourcefulness; it is regenerative and sustainable, which allows viable business opportunity to successfully tackle environmental priorities, drive performance, innovation and competitiveness, and stimulate economic growth and
development.
