LA Sanitation requires each RSP to:
  • Hire 4 customer assessment agents per 1,000 accounts
  • Provide highest quality customer service
  • Operate clean fuel, low emission vehicles
  • Educate the public to enhance recycling opportunities
  • Commit to transparent and consistent rates citywide
  • Comply with the City’s reporting requirements
  • Customize waste bins and routes
  • Assess waste stream regularly
  • Meet with local chambers of commerce and neighborhood groups to highlight their new state-of-the-art systems and recycling goals
Weekly meetings between LASAN and recycLA service providers offer the opportunity to review data, discuss the prior week’s concerns, and set new procedures to avoid repeat issues. recycLA service providers are held accountable to these requirements by LASAN.

LA Sanitation handles all customer service inquiries in its 24-hour Customer Care Center. From missed collections to requesting waste assessments to service questions, you can call us for assistance at 1-800-773-2489 seven days a week, 24-hours a day. Alternatively, requests are also handled on our website.















recycLA Service Providers

There are seven (7) recycLA service providers working in 11 zones across the City of Los Angeles. Each provider has a Customer Service office where you can visit during business hours to discuss your service. If you do not know which provider is yours, you can type your address into our Service Map.
