Bulky Item Collection

THE AUGUST 12 BULKY ITEM DROP-OFF EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT NEXT MONTH'S EVENT ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16.

We always suggest recycling your bulky items through charitable organizations, thrift stores, and exchange apps/groups. However, if you are unable to do so, LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN) will pick up your large/bulky household items such as mattresses, couches, doors, carpet, toilets, electrical waste and other furniture and items from residents serviced by LASAN.

 

To remove these bulky items from your curbside, please call the LASAN Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 at least one business day before your regular collection day. Bulky items are collected on the day of your regular refuse collection. Please have an itemized list of your items ready when calling or submitting your request.

 

You may also send your Bulky Item Collection Service Request by clicking on the Service Request Form to the right. Please complete the entire Service Request Form and click the Submit button.

MULTI-FAMILY BULKY ITEM COLLECTION

LA Sanitation (LASAN) will pick up your large/bulky household items such as mattresses, couches, doors, carpet, toilets, electrical waste, and other furniture and items from residents residing in multi-family residential buildings (of five or more units) such as apartments. To remove these bulky items from your curbside, please call the LASAN Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 to schedule an appointment. Please provide an itemized list of the items to be collected when you call to schedule the appointment.

  • Automotive parts
  • Oils
  • Construction materials
  • Commercial appliances
  • Paints
  • Medicine
  • Fluorescent lights
  • Cardboard (cardboard is only collected as a Move In/Move Out service)

FREE BULKY ITEM DROP-OFF

LA Sanitation & Environment will be accepting bulky items at five locations around the City monthly. Furniture, carpet, yard trimmings, shelving, and wood will be accepted.
