What We Can Do For You!

Solid Resources Citywide Recycling Division (SRCRD) develops and implements effective and cost-effective source reduction, recycling, and re-use programs and policies. SRCRD provides technical assistance to City Departments, private sector businesses, multi-family complexes, and the community. The office fosters public/private recycling partnerships and helps to promote new markets for recyclable materials.

These are the types of services we can provide:

• Assist vendors wanting to do business with the City.
• Assist vendors wanting to change to recycled-content products.
• Provide sources for recycled-content products.
• Assist in setting up "Buy Recycled Programs."
• Provide ideas for sponsoring an event for America Recycles Day.

SRCRD will give you information on "How to Buy Recycled" for products for the home and office, as well as for construction products. Ask for the brochures "10 Easy Ways to Buy Recycled" or "A Resource Guide to Recycled-Content Construction Products." These free guides provide tips on buying recycled and listings of companies who sell recycled-content products. Vendors interested in doing business with the City may request the pamphlet "How to Get into the Loop."
