NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - July 29, 2008 The City of Los Angeles Municipal Code Article 6.1, Section 66.41, contains a schedule of planned increases of the Solid Waste Collection, Transfer, Recycling, Recovery of Waste Resources and Disposal Fee. This monthly fee is also known as the Solid Resources Fee or SRF, and was previously called the Sanitation Equipment Charge. The City’s Department of Public Works has been requested to increase the monthly fee to cover the full cost of providing refuse service to the residents of the City of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed SRF rates of $36.32/month for single family dwellings and duplexes and $24.33/month for Multi Family Dwellings (3 or more units) on this matter on July 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the John Ferraro Council Chamber, Rm. 340, City Hall, 200 North Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. Written comments on the proposed rate change may be submitted at the public hearing or mailed to the City Clerk, 200 North Spring St., Rm. 395, Los Angeles, CA 90012, no later than July 28, 2008. Please include the Assessors Parcel Number (APN), if available on the front label, and write "Proposed Solid Resources Fee" on your written comment. Parking is available in private lots surrounding City Hall, and City Hall is accessible by public transportation.
