Low-Strength SSC and Related Information

The L-S SSC rate, as of July 1, 2007, is $2.268/HCF. ORD 176,462 (Adopted 2-4-05, Eff. 3-13-05) The cost for the components are $0.349/lb of BOD and 0.351/lb of SS where BOD = Biochemical Oxygen Demand, SS = Suspended Solids, and HCF = Hundred Cubic Feet. Customers qualify for Low-Strength SSC if the discharge has a BOD <265 mg/l and an SS of <275 mg/l. Submit a request for adjustment to FMD. See info needed & IWMD application (with instructions).
