  • 2010 Third Party Interim Audit – The City completed its EMS interim audit from August 9-12, 2010. The results included continued certification under NBP National Biosolids EMS program through September 2011. Five (5) minor non-conformances require corrective action and the City of Los Angeles will consider the twelve suggested opportunities for improvement. The audit results were reported to the Bureau of Sanitation management, the NBP, and interested parties.
  • TIRE Update – The City has successfully injected over 120 million gallons of digested sludge and biosolids slurry into deep geological subsurface. The project has been in operation for over three years. Based on monitoring data and results the formations are responding well and accepting the material. The project is in compliance with regulatory requirements.  For more information click here.
